Our company was founded by a team passionate about food with the vision of revolutionizing the food industry. The goal is to allow our customers to continuously develop and concentrate on their core business by alleviating their produce and labor costs. We assembled the best team, from our production employees to our managers, and together we have successfully built an incredible company. Conveniently located in the Bay Area, we can serve a large variety of distributors, food service operators, and food manufacturers. With all the possible combinations of products, cut specifications and packing sizes, we can meet our customers’ needs.
We continue to grow by relying on our Strategic Pillars: Quality, Food Safety, and Service. We purchase the highest quality products; our produce buyers are extremely knowledgeable, and their years of experience allow us to purchase the best product available. We follow the latest food safety regulations from the moment the product arrives at our facility until it is delivered to the customers’ door. We are also constantly looking for new methods to increase shelf-life and preserve the freshness and full flavor profile of the cut produce. Most importantly, we constantly interact with our customers to ensure that their needs are being met. Our customers are always the focus of everything we do.

An incredible journey of growth and success!
Sunset District, SF (2 founders; 100 sq foot)
- Founders, Jason and Rose Wong open their 1st Grocery Store in Sunset District, SF.
Richmond District, SF(6 employees; 800 sq foot)
- Jason and Rose have 6 Employees - Calvin is the first employee and remains at The Produce Company to this day.
- Fresh-cut produce business is born with 3 cutting boards, 6 milk crates and 1 plastic bag.
- The first fresh-cut item - The Chateau Potato is requested by the Chef at the famous San Francis Yacht Club in Chinatown.
Grand Ave, SSF(80 employees; 10,000 sq foot)
- We move to South San Francisco, with the location expand to a 10,000 sq foot.
Swift Ave, SSF(115 employees, 12,000 sq foot)
- We add a second location in South San Francisco.
Airport Blvd, SSF (150 employees, 40,000 sq foot)
- Processing facility moves to an 40,000 sq foot facility and retail products are introduced under the Urban Leaf Label.
- Business included airlines, restaurants and foodservice distributors.
100 W Valpico Rd, Tracy (60,000+ sq foot)
- The processing facility has grown over 60,000 sq feet and continues to be a leader in the fresh-cut Category.
- The Produce Company is now a full-service fresh-cut provider to ALL segments of the fresh produce industry.
