As a food manufacturer, our single greatest responsibility is food safety.

At The Produce Company, we take this responsibility seriously. As an SQF certified facility, we have demonstrated our commitment to achieving and maintaining one of the highest available standards recognized in food manufacturing throughout the world. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certification is the global benchmark for ensuring stringent food safety standards throughout the entire food supply chain, and SQF Certification follows the GFSI benchmarks and delivers a comprehensive solution, ensuring the effective implementation, validation, and monitoring of food safety and quality controls.

Food Safety Culture

We believe that the best way to consistently achieve food safety is through a strong Food Safety Culture. Food safety is the highest priority in all aspects of our business, helping to guide and navigate the decisions made at our company. Food safety is not just something we talk about; it is something we live each day. A strong food safety culture requires the commitment of all key personnel throughout the company – starting with senior management leading by example.

Programs And Processes

TPC has been aggressive in developing, maintaining, and improving our Food Safety Management System to ensure the safety of our products. The Food Safety Management System at our facility encompasses all of our programs, and at the core of our FSMS is our Food Safety Plan. TPC’s Food Safety Plan has been developed using HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) principles and meets all regulatory requirements including 21 CFR 117 Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food.

People

Employees are key to success. Our Food Safety and Quality team provides functional leadership in key areas including food safety and quality in manufacturing, distribution, supplier approval, sanitation, microbiology, food defense and fraud, and traceability. This team monitors food-safety and quality issues from receiving raw commodities to shipping  finished products, from supplier compliance to manufacturing and packing safe, high-quality product that meets internal and customer specifications.
